I am Nadine, the eldest of three children. We lost our dad to heart attack when I was only about five years old. Since then, mom had to work abroad in order to provide for all our needs. Being the eldest, I have to assume parenting duties to my younger siblings while mom was away. I am not complaining because I know what I do is nothing compared to all the sacrifices mom has to go through every single day that she is away from us. It must be really tough for a mother to be so far away from her children. Last week, mom celebrated her birthday. As our way of thanking her for all that she has given us through the years, my siblings and I thought of sending her gift wrapped gifts online. If it were not for Daisy, a neighbor of ours whose mom is also working abroad, we would not have known that it was actually possible to send gifts online. Mom cried as soon as she got the gifts. |

Pregnancy is a very special and beautiful occurrence of life. The one thing that women who are pregnant do not like is morning sickness. My wife is pregnant and she hates when nausea kicks in. She lives on lemons and crackers, half of the contents in her handbag are the crackers, mints, anything that she can suck on to make the nausea feeling go down a notch. I am very happy that I am going to be a father especially when it comes to the mother of the baby. She is a special woman and that is why I get her pamper gifts for mums to be all the time. She tears all the time I get her the gifts and she says it is the hormones that make her tear up all the time. That I do not dispute because she is not an emotional woman. I got her a remedy for her morning sickness bouts and included it in the pamper gifts for mums to be. She loved it because it worked, she got nauseated less frequently. |
